Anaesthetic Trivia - Magill
Ivan Whiteside Magill (1888-1986), Irish-born anaesthetist. Responsible for much of the innovation and development of modern anaesthesia including endotracheal intubation, the Magill circuit and numerous pieces of equipment. Helped found the Association of Anaesthetists and professional exams in anaesthesia.

The CAT Christmas party has been arranged! You need to get a ticket and get one fast. More info below: Saturday 20th December 2008 Common Room in Sheffield - This year we've booked our own private area in the VIP section, near Forum on Division St. There will be a pool tournament (optional) and food. Tickets £10 - Unfortunately we've had to put the price up from last year to £10 per person as it's costing us more, but we're sure it'll be value-for-money entertainment! The following have been carefully hand-picked (ah-hem) to be your local hospital 'ticket' sellers: (We don't have anyone for the Childrens' hospital yet though - any volunteers???)
