Anaesthetic Trivia - Macintosh
Robert Reynolds Macintosh (1897-1989), New Zealand-born anaesthetist, became the first British Professor of Anaesthetics in Oxford in 1937 and was a key figure in the foundation of academic anaesthesia. A pioneer, he designed his eponymous laryngoscope, spray, endobronchial tube and vaporiser.

Helen Findley and Iain Dods are organising a careers day for all anaesthesia ST3-7 REGISTRARS in the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery on Wed 28th Sept.
It will be held at Pinderfields PGME centre and will be FREE to attend (lunch provided). Dr Dods will strongly encourage departments to release all available trainees, however you must also book study leave to cover the day off if you are due to be at work.

A course about awake fibreoptic intubation at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The dates are 11th/12th July and 17th/18th October.
